Terms of Use

Effective from 9 October 2026 · version 1.3

1. About the service and these terms

Skoopa ("the service") is an app and web service for collecting, creating and sharing recipes made for ice cream makers. The service is operated by Advolution AB ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. The service was previously called Glasslabbet.

Skoopa is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by SharkNinja Operating LLC. "Ninja" and "Creami" are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to describe compatibility.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for all activity that takes place through your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account; if you are under 18 you need a parent's or guardian's consent. Accounts created with a name only (no email address) cannot recover a lost password — losing your login means losing access.

3. Purchases

Some features are unlocked through one-off purchases made via the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price is shown in the store before you buy. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled by the store under its own terms. Generations you have bought are used up as you use them and cannot be refunded once used. Purchases are tied to your store account and can be restored on a new device through the store.

4. Recipes, nutritional values and food safety

All content in the service — recipes, ingredients, instructions, tips and nutritional values — is provided as general information only and without any warranty. Nutritional values are estimates and may differ from real values — never rely on them for medical decisions, allergy management or special diets. You are responsible for allergens, food safety and for always following your machine manufacturer's safety instructions. We are not liable for damage to your machine or injury to any person resulting from recipes or instructions in the service.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of your content, but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and process it to the extent needed to run the service. Content you make public can be seen by all visitors, including those without an account. You confirm that you have the right to share what you upload. You are fully responsible for your content. We do not pre-screen private content. If you delete content or your account, it is removed within a reasonable time; copies that others have already saved to their collections may remain.

6. Prohibited use

You may not use the service for content that is unlawful, threatening, hateful, harassing, pornographic, violent or offensive; is unrelated to recipes and food when published; is dangerous to consume or encourages harmful behaviour; infringes the rights of others; or contains malicious code or attempts to bypass the service's security or AI filters. We may remove content, refuse AI requests and suspend accounts that breach this, without prior notice.

7. AI-generated content

Parts of the service use AI to generate recipes, text, nutritional estimates and images. AI-generated content may contain errors despite our filters — always review it before you use or publish it.

8. Moderation

Public content may be reviewed automatically and/or manually, before or after publication. If you find inappropriate content, contact us (section 13).

9. Availability of the service

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any guarantee of uptime or freedom from errors. We may change, limit or discontinue features or the whole service. The service is under active development.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid for the service during the last twelve months. We are not liable for indirect loss, consequential loss or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory consumer law — including your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if you are in the United Kingdom.

11. Intellectual property

The service's design, brand and code belong to us. You may not copy or reuse them without written permission.

12. Personal data and changes

How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms and will notify you through the service of material changes. These terms are governed by Swedish law without affecting the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live. Disputes are heard by the courts of Sweden; as a consumer you may also bring a claim before the courts, or use the consumer dispute resolution bodies, of your own country.
