Liquorice ice cream

Creamy ice cream that tastes of sweet liquorice, for anyone who always picks the black ones out of the bag first.

Ingredients

• 240 mlwhole milk
• 170 mlwhipping cream
• 80 ggranulated sugar
• 2 tspliquorice powder
• Pinch of salt

Method

1. 1. Blend the milk, cream, sugar, liquorice powder and salt with a stick blender until smooth with no lumps.
2. 2. Pour it into the tub up to the max fill line, put the lid on and freeze it level for at least 24 hours, so it's solid all the way through and flat on top.
3. 3. Run the Ice Cream programme. If it looks crumbly, give it a re-spin.

•Liquorice powder is strong. Taste the mix and add another half teaspoon if you want more. Raw liquorice powder is easiest to find online.

•Want pieces? When the Ice Cream programme is done, dig a hole down to the bottom, fill it with roughly chopped soft liquorice and run Mix-In.
